The last few weeks.....

The weather hasn't been particularly kind in the last few months, but the Easy Riders have been out and about in varying numbers and weather conditions. On the 17th January a return visit to The Onley at Stisted saw the Easy Riders served with toasted teacakes and marmalade - very welcomed hot food. Overall 21 miles covered by the longer ride and 19 by the shorter. Can you tell what Steve is looking at intently? The forecast for the 24th January was wet and windy...ideal cycling conditions for some of the Easy Riders....Gifford reports the following: - "Seven intrepid chaps turned up for a ride today. Getting rid of the cobwebs!

Our first ride of the year and nine keen riders turned up to do battle with storm Eleanor. Problem was, the ride was cancelled, we all forgot to check the early morning emails. Nevertheless it was decided to press on and we headed for the tea room in Felsted. The wind was gusting making riding on a busy road a little precarious, we decided to stay on the Flitch most of the way there, it was muddy but OK. After the stop we made use of the tailwind and kept to the quieter roads back to Rayne. Only a short ride today but very nice to get out after the Christmas break. At least we got rid of the cobwebs!
