With the sunshine out, especially compared to last week's rain, the Easy Riders were out in force...31 in total.
Setting off together towards Great Notley we split in to two groups at Dagnets Lane and I picked up the lead for the longer ride - 16 riders in total. We headed out towards Willows Green and on to Leez Priory. We also introduced a new approach to ensure no one missed a junction - the rider behind the leader waited for the back marker to go through. From Leez past the Compasses at Litney Green and out to Howe Street. With the group all together we headed towards Great Waltham and veered off to Broad Green. The roads were lovely and quiet and the countryside was beautiful. From Broad Green we headed to our coffee destination at Little Channels for a well earned break - just over 15 miles and on arrival found the other group had arrived just 5 mins beforehand.
After coffee, Mick led the group back as one retracing some of the route of our earlier ride. We headed back towards Howe Street and then to Little Leighs, Thistly Green, Willows Green and finally Rayne and back down the Flitch Way.
All in all 26 miles in great weather....well does all.
