Shotley Peninsula and Lawford Church
A few intrepid riders (Mave, John, Gifford, Peter, Alan, Diane & Adrian) took the risk to accompany Mick on the ride around Shotley Peninsula (30 miles) with a break at Pin Mill. The weather was wonderful and the ride was more hilly than a number of us expected.
That said, we all made it back safely and just in time for the Cyclists and Ramblers Carol Service at Lawford Church (timing excellent Mick). The church was packed and with the vicar wearing a flashing LED jumper we knew the service would be entertaining. It was a lovely service and whilst we didn't win the oldest or youngest member of congregation we came closer on the former!), we did win the longest ride.
