FOG bound!
What a grim start to the day - Mick had to change his plans with the fog really closing in on this morning's ride. Couldn't believe there were 24 hardy souls this late into December and 3 were still wearing shorts, but then again the temperature was mild for this time of the year.
We set off and Mick took us on a series of cycle paths in and around Braintree and eventually we found ourselves at Great Notley Discovery Centre for a welcome break. Whilst the crow might fly directly, we had completed just under 11 miles to get there - it was a wiggly route and for those still finding our way around Braintree it does provide good knowledge. The route back home was more direct with a little deviation out to the bridge on Fentons Road and then back via Rayne and the Flitch Way. Roughly 6 miles in total.
A nice social ride, with only one puncture - don't forget to check your spare inner tubes by blowing them up just to make sure the valve isn't faulty.
Christmas hats and jerseys next week.
