With 8 Easyriders still in Norfolk, 20 riders were in Drury Lane ready for this week's ride led by Steve. Forecast was great and it looked like a good ride was in store.
Out through the market, with great encouragement from the market stall owners providing we rang our bells. Down towards the station and out on to the new cycle path towards Skitts Hill. Following a cycle path we headed to Challis Lane and then to Masefield Road into Notley Road. We split in to two groups to allow traffic to pass more easily and as the second group headed down Notley Road hill there was a cry of 'Stop you're going the wrong way' followed by Steve pedalling furiously to catch up with the leader. Minutes later he led the riders back up the hill and all was on track again....well done Steve.
From there we crossed in to Great Notley and headed out to Rayne, Blake End, Stebbing and finally to Great Saling and the airfield. Nice tarmac road leading up to the coffee stop.
After a refreshments punctuated by airplanes taking off and landing plus a National Grid helicopter, Steve took us out through the other end of the airfield towards Shalford and then via Jaspers Green and then home up Panfield Lane.
