Braintree Easy Riders cycling group was established in June 2013 to help get more people cycling and since those early days it has grown to over 50 members ranging from their 40's to 70's.

Aim

The aim of the group is to get more people cycling as it helps people become healthier and creates free and more active citizens.

The group's objectives are to:

  • encourage people of all ages (under 18's must be accompanied by either a parent or guardian) and abilities to participate in a wide range of cycle activities;

  • provide inclusive and supportive activities which encourage those who lack confidence and those who have not cycled for some time, if at all;

  • assist people in their personal and social development so as to encourage growth in self esteem and confidence;

  • advocate for improvements to cycling facilities;

  • take all possible steps to ensure that all activities are enjoyable;

  • promote the welfare and safety of all those taking part at all times.
