Wet and Windy, Consolidated ride to Dunmow 28/12/2022
Stalwart members of Braintree Easy Riders started gathering in Weavers Park from 0915, despite the forecast for drizzle deteriorating to steady rain by midday. Easy Riders Last Ride Before Christmas, Winter Solstice Ride 21/12/2022
Today’s ride was at the winter solstice, 21 December, which is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. The medium group had about 10 riders departing at 0945, led by Steve B and me; and the short group departed at 1000. Steve had found a great route down to Great Waltham – via Rayne, and Littley Green, with a loop through Little Waltham before reaching The Stores. As we rode

The short group led by Bill Twinn and Peter Milner were heading to Andrewsfield. The medium group went due south down to Great
